New Original Curriculum
Created by Brian Sledge, Teacher of Graphic Design at Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ (available only at EHS), students are introduced to an extraordinary original interdisciplinary curriculum called CORE Graphics, which fusing traditional storytelling and design techniques with cutting-edge AI technology -- built on the foundation of Literacy, Visual Communication, Presentation, and Publishing!
AI Integration
At CORE Graphics, AI is treated not as a replacement for writing and drawing skills, but as a creative partner. Students learn to incorporate writting techniques (like plot development, character deevelopment, literary structure) and design skills (like storyboarding), with AI, making the creative process faster, more accessible, and visually stunning without losing the human heart behind every story!
The Results
Unlike conventional classess, CORE Graphics empowers young creators to write, design, and publish their own original graphic novels. Each book is the product of real student creativity, guided by traditional writing — while also integrating cutting-edge AI tools to enhance visual storytelling, worldbuilding, and design. The result is work that's bold, original, and deeply personal, empowering the next generation of students — on a foundational balance of tradition and innovation!
